Did you know you could also send Custom Letters to a mail house like ITI Direct?
Go to the Land Tab then click on the Campaigns Section you will be presented with this screen.
find the custom document you created (for more information click here)
Select the option ‘Other’
You will see your word documents which can be opened up and edited specifically to the needs of your mailhouse of your choice. For this istance we are working with ITI Direct so what you would do in this case is review the information needed directly from ITI which is also here.
From the information on the ITI Direct site we can see that we need to have our merge fields displayed with <<mergefield>> instead of what the Investment Dominator Provides as this [mergefield].
In order to do this open up those downloaded files on your computer and within Microsoft word click on enable editing then
1. Click replace
2. Under find what put this symbol [
3. For Replace With put this symbol <<
4. Click on Replace all
5. Do this same process again for this symbol ] and replace with >>
Once you are done review your documents to ensure they are in the proper format
Lastly just make sure you are saving this document as a PDF.
Following along with the article on what ITI needs in order to fufill a mailing you will need your:
2 PDF’s one with your custom letter template and custom envelope Template so make sure to save those word documents as PDF.
Last your CSV file associated with your custom letter which can be found on the Other screen
The two mail houses we recommend at this time are LPGletters.com or LPGmailer.com both of which are full-service mailing services that print, fold, stuff, stamp and mail your letters out on your Company’s behalf. This article will focus primarily on the service provided by LPGletters.com or ITI – Letterprinting.Net. In the event, you have a need to create a new custom template for a mail merge this article provides step-by-step instructions on how to accomplish this task.
In order to create a custom Neutral Letter Template for mailing to either of the afore listed mail houses, you must complete the following steps.
Step 1: Open Up A Blank ‘Word’ Document File
This blank ‘Word’ document file will be utilized to house the new version of the Neutral Letter Template for mailing.
Step 2: Access ‘Campaigns’ Function In Either Land Or House Deals Section
Log into your Investment Dominator Admin Console and navigate to either the ‘Land Deals‘ or ‘House Deals‘ section depending on the type of properties you are working with.
Click on the link on the upper right side of the page called ‘Campaigns‘.
Step 3: Access Template Icon For ‘Generate Prospect Neutral Letter Template’
Once you open the ‘Campaigns‘ head over to the drop-down which says ‘GenerateDocuments’
Select the ‘Other‘ for the template documents you can download by clicking on the icon.
Step 4: Open And Recreate The Template In Word Document
Open the ‘Generate Prospect Neutral Letter Template‘ and down-load the built-in template onto your computer.
Copy each line of the ‘Generate Prospect Neutral Letter Template‘ into the blank ‘WORD’ file you opened in Step 1.
Copy the SIGNATURE into your ‘WORD’ file using Jing or some other ‘Snip-it’ tool available.
Note: This template must be recreated as a new version because it contains all of ITI placeholder information as highlighted in RED for a successful mail merge.
Step 5: Make Changes To Save In ‘WORD’ And ‘PDF’ Formats
Make any appropriate changes to the new version of the Prospect Neutral Letter Template in the ‘WORD’ file.
SAVE the new version of the Prospect Neutral Letter Template in ‘WORD’ file format on your computer.
SAVE the new version of the Prospect Neutral Letter Template in ‘PDF’ file format on your computer.
Note: The new version of the Prospect Neutral Letter Template in ‘PDF’ file format is sent to ITI, (Letterprinting.Net).

There are many similar services out there, but these have a lot of options that work well with our direct mail campaigns to the owners.
STEP 1: How To Generate A Mailing List For The Mail House
Log into your Investment Dominator Admin Console and navigate to either the ‘Land Deals‘ or ‘House Deals‘ section depending on what type of properties you will be working with.
Click on the link at the top right of the page called ‘Campaigns‘.
Next to the campaign you want to generate you will notice a drop down called ‘Generate Documents’. Clicking this will show you the avaiable formats avaiable. We will be using ITI Direct Templates, but if at any time you need template documents you can customize just click the ‘Other’ option.
Once you click on the ‘ITI Direct Templates’ you will see the pdfs which you can download individually as well as the CSV file. Alternatively you can download a zip folder which contains all these documents.
You will need to upload these files as well to your ITI Direct Mail order ticket (discussed later in step 2).
NOTE: At this point, you should have three files saved on your local machine that look like this: NOTE: That your template files are formatted in a particular manner and that they only contain 1 sample envelope and 1 sample letter (meaning iti Direct Mail performs the mail merge on their end):
Fill out the form on the right side of the screen get started. Most options are preselected for you however you need to update the ‘Quantity‘ field with the number of the recipient in your mailing.
PRO TIP: If you have the budget, Jack recommends the following options when you place your order with the Mail House:
Envelope type: ‘#24b White Linen Envelopes’
Postage Class: ‘1st Class Presort’ for your first mailing (because speed is of the essence)
Turnaround Time: ‘2-Day Turnaround’ for your first mailing (because speed is of the essence)
If you have a limited budget you can use the following settings to reduce your mailing cost (this will, however, also increase the time it takes for you to see results):
NOTE: That’s 57 cents per letter! (Order must have a quantity over 700 letters and include the options in the screenshot above to get this discount rate and the timeline is extended to about 3 weeks using these options).
Compare this price with the cost of supplies to print/fold/stuff/stamp the mailers yourself at home, you are looking at $0.68 per mailer (not including your time).
When you are done adjusting the settings of your order click the green ‘ADD TO CART‘ button to continue.
Review your order then click the red ‘CHECKOUT‘ button to continue.
At this point, you can either log in with your account or click the ‘CONTINUE‘ button under the ‘New Customer Checkout‘ section to create a new account.
After you create a new account you will need to enter your payment details to process the order.
The mail house requires that you send them both your letter template and envelope template to them as a .pdf file and it needs to be formatted using their merge field format. For this, you need to upload the .csv file, letter, and envelope template that you generated in STEP 1 above. These three files are attached to the order ticket.
STEP 3: Updating The Records In The Investment Dominator After The Mail Has Been Sent
Once iti Direct Mail has confirmed that the letters have been mailed you will want to update the status of your prospects to a mailed status.
Log back into your Investment Dominator Admin Console and click on either the ‘Land Deals‘ or ‘House Deals‘ tab then on the ‘Campaigns‘ link at the top right of the page.
Then click on the ‘Bulk Update Records‘ button to move all these prospects into the next Status.
